Our Bakery
Est. 2002 by the esteemed pastry chef and baker, Paul Mackie and his wife Kate. This dynamic duo combines the love of baking, creativity in business and a desire to generate good for the community.
The aim was to give more than a loaf of bread - they wanted to provide a workplace for families, to give the Central Coast and beyond a great quality product that the average Joe could afford, to provide a place of comfort and familiarity and to create a place of opportunity for all.
They believe in mums and dads being able to afford delicious treats, made from quality ingredients, at reasonable prices.
They believe in turning the traditional bakery model of long sleepless nights into achievable hours for their staff and their families.
They believe in employing those with disabilities or who may need extra assistance at work.

Bakehouse Cafe humbly goes about making fine products from quality ingredients. From an inventive array of rustic sourdough breads to award winning cakes and desserts, everything is baked locally, fresh every day from the finest natural ingredients.

Each product is created with precision and care. Sourdough is lovingly fed, pastry is gently folded, coffee is poured with care and wraps are layered so every bite of your lunch is mouthwatering.

Walking into a store is a delight to the senses; the smell of fresh bread, the sound of the coffee machine humming away, the visually enticing array of products and atmosphere, the feeling of being part of a community and the taste of finely crafted food.

Bakehouse Cafe has an amazing team that is the engine behind its success. A rare combination of people who excel in their fields as pastry chefs, bakers, managers and retail staff.
From our most experienced staff who have been part of the Bakehouse Cafe family since its conception, to the fresh juniors working weekends - all are integral to the team and making Bakehouse Cafe the success it is.
